ENTRANCE: TRI-A-DE
An exhibition series, installation, stage design, work in progress
In the series »Entrance«, Raphaela Andrade Cordova looks at the dictates of the artistic direction and the text during the development of the stage design and turns this working method upside down. Instead of a given text, topic or schedule, the stage designer sees the stage as space. The stage is not something sublime here - text, play and direction elevate, but a space that is entered. In the »Entrance« series, the exhibition space becomes a development space: At the beginning - entrance - there is the development of a stage space, the subject matter of which follows the ideas of the stage designers (Andrade Pieler Production). These, in turn, can refer to anything that helps to find the space. On a mood, the development of your own narrative, but also on an existing text - a person who acts, directs, acts or develops and shows their work. This means that the field to be worked on goes far beyond the theater space, its protagonists and its forms.
In the first year, Raphaela Andrade Cordova and Mara-Madeleine Pieler , both young stage designers at the HfBK Hamburg, will develop their stage space. For »Entrance # TRI-A-DE« they will develop three sets for three fairy tales within six weeks. The gate to the Westwerk hall will open and close again and again.
