"CORDS"

Sculpture, Installation 2022

Engine, various techniques, fiberglass tube, epoxy resin, 3 audio tracks, 3 bluetooth channels, my voice.

One enters a long corridor where a wind whistle can be heard. Three oversized ropes that have taken on a life of their own, as if they had been left in this place after an installation.

On the left, a white rope hangs from a hook, as if left over from a pulley and congealed in the moment of cleanup. In the middle of the aisle, blocking the way, a huge spiral green rope, slowly swaying back and forth to the sound of the wind. Next to it on the wall, an empty hook, as if the rope had taken on a life of its own, detached from the hook. The last rope lies entwined on the floor and, like a snake, raises its one end into the air.
A coiled body looking down at your head. Another hook on the wall with no occupant.
